- Uncle Ross left for work early -- he had a job in IT in the city -- while Aunt Diane worked as an administration/accounts officer at the church so didn't work full time every day. This meant that she gave me a lift to my new school in her car to get my uniform, textbooks and complete my enrolment. I knew that my father had paid my aunt and uncle for my school fees in Adelaide -- but he would probably have paid the fees of one of Australia's priciest boys' private schools in Sydney or Melbourne to be rid of me -- and Cassie and Belinda got a ride to school today too.
- The girls both had their drivers' licenses but did not have a car of their own, they would borrow their mother's when she gave permission, Belinda and Cassie catching a train and bus to school with their classmates and from tomorrow I would be doing this too.
- I was fitted for my new school uniform of a light blue shirt, dark blue trousers with matching tie and black shoes. After purchasing my text books, I was formally enrolled, allocated to the same home room as the twins and by mid-morning was sitting in Geography and then Biology, both classes I had taken back in Canberra and which Cassie and Belinda also took.
